Every day, everyone gets the same quote, featured on the home page and refreshed at 00:00 UTC, with its own leaderboard for the runs set that day. One quote, one shared challenge, and the whole community on equal footing.
Keep your streak alive
Complete the Daily Quote each day to build a streak. Miss a day and it resets, so consistency is the name of the game. It's the easiest way to warm up, measure yourself against everyone else on the exact same text, and keep a habit going.
How the daily quote is picked
We don't want every day to feel the same, so the daily isn't locked to one length or difficulty. Each week (resetting every Thursday) is a freshly shuffled set of length ranges, one per day:
- 50-99 characters
- 100-199 characters
- 200-349 characters
- 350-549 characters
- 550-799 characters
- 800-1,199 characters
- 1,200-2,000 characters
Within that day's length range, the quote's difficulty is drawn from a right-skewed distribution, so most days land approachable, with the occasional spicy one thrown in to keep you honest.
